SSAWMA Scholarships

The purpose of the Southern Section A&WMA Scholarship Program is to assist students pursuing careers in the areas of air & water pollution control and hazardous waste management, such as transportation control measures, acidic deposition, indoor air quality, new or improved control technology, and physical or chemical characterization of pollutants. The applicant's goals should be directed toward achievement of A&WMA's purpose as stated in the By-Laws quoted below:

"The purpose of the Association is to promote better understanding of problems in the fields of air pollution and hazardous waste management within the geographic area of the Section and to provide a means for exchanging information directed toward solving those problems."
